The Domains of the Chevaliers de l'Astrée
are places with their own history, landscape and unique identity.

Today, three domains make up the adventure of the Chevaliers de l'Astrée.

Domaine des Eaux de Velours
A Domain Taking Shape
📍 La Roche-Posay – Vienne – France
Between Water, Meadows and Preserved Nature
On the doorstep of La Roche-Posay, a town renowned for centuries for the quality of its waters, the Domaine des Eaux de Velours is a place where water quietly shapes the landscape.
Between meadows and wetlands, life unfolds with the rhythm of the seasons. Birds, pollinating insects, wild plants and the many small inhabitants of wetland habitats find refuge here.
It is a place of observation, discovery and contemplation, where nature retains all its freedom.

The Domaine des Eaux de Velours is also a place for reflection and experimentation.
Over the years, various developments have been envisioned to encourage biodiversity and support a greater variety of plant life. In particular, an edible forest project was studied in detail and remains a source of inspiration for the future.
As is often the case in nature, the land follows its own rhythm. Some plantings proved poorly suited to the site's conditions, while the seasons and the weather have at times reshaped the landscape. The pond has been given a new lease of life through restoration work, while other areas still await new ideas and careful stewardship as they continue to evolve.
This is precisely what makes the Domaine des Eaux de Velours so special: nothing here is set in stone. The site continues to evolve, welcome new ideas, and offer many possibilities for the years ahead.

Domaine des Mille Légendes
Where Legends Take Root
📍 Éguzon – Berry – France
The Berry is a land of stories, traditions and legends passed down from generation to generation.
At the heart of an old orchard crossed by a stream, the Domaine des Mille Légendes invites visitors to rediscover this living heritage.
Apple trees, hazelnut trees, walnut trees and naturally occurring vegetation shape a landscape deeply rooted in the Berry region, where nature and imagination come together.
It is a place well suited to gatherings, harvests, stories shared in the shade of the trees, and the passing on of knowledge and traditions between generations.

Le Domaine des Mille Légendes est avant tout un ancien verger où subsistent des variétés fruitières traditionnelles. Ces arbres, préservés des sélections intensives modernes, conservent toute la richesse de leurs saveurs et de leurs qualités naturelles.
On y trouve également des noisetiers, quelques noyers et une végétation spontanée qui a progressivement repris sa place.
Certains noisetiers avaient autrefois été plantés dans l'espoir de produire des truffes. Comme souvent en matière de nature, le terrain a suivi sa propre voie et raconte aujourd'hui une histoire différente.
Bordé par un petit bois et entouré de prairies où paissent les vaches, le domaine offre un paysage paisible où la biodiversité continue d'évoluer librement.
À quelques minutes seulement, le lac d'Éguzon permet également de prolonger la découverte du territoire à travers promenades, baignades et activités nautiques.

Domaine des Terres d'Aragon
The Light of the South and the Land of Olive Trees

Located near Valderrobres, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, the Domaine des Terres d'Aragon offers a Mediterranean dimension to the adventure of the Chevaliers de l'Astrée. Under the sun of southern Europe, olive and almond trees have shaped a luminous landscape for generations, where rural heritage, biodiversity and local traditions come together. Among the olive groves, almond trees and surrounding hills, visitors can discover a region rich in history and deeply alive.

A Land Shaped by Time
The Domaine des Terres d'Aragon is part of an agricultural landscape shaped over generations by the women and men who have lived and worked there.
The olive and almond trees bear witness to a long-standing relationship between nature and human activity. As the seasons pass, the light changes, harvests follow one another, and the landscape reveals ever-changing faces.
The small stone cottage on the domain stands as a reminder of this rural heritage and of the deep bond between the land and those who have cultivated it over the years.
Close to Valderrobres and the Ports de Beceite mountain range, the domain also offers the opportunity to discover a region rich in heritage, unspoilt landscapes and Mediterranean traditions.
About an hour's drive away lies the Ebro Delta, where Spain's great river meets the Mediterranean Sea. This remarkable area is known for its rice fields, citrus groves, lagoons and exceptional birdlife, including flamingos and ibises.
It is a place where nature, culture and the passing on of knowledge come together, and where the adventure of the Chevaliers de l'Astrée takes on a European dimension.
